Brandy Casseus, better known by her stage name artbully, recently joined me for a cozy Conversation With Caffeine over a warm Chai Latte. A talented Memphis rapper, artbully hails from Memphis, TN and just dropped her latest album, How To Shine in The Rain.
Fun fact — she first discovered her talent for rapping when her friends randomly asked her to freestyle. Turns out, they loved it and encouraged her to take it seriously — and the rest is history!
Her new album is a personal reflection, inspired by the life lessons she’s gathered along the way. It’s a creative project that blends vulnerability, resilience, and raw storytelling — giving listeners a real look into her journey.
When she’s not making music, Brandy works as the Curriculum and Youth Development Program Manager at Memphis Music Initiative (MMI). In her role, she helps design impactful programs that nurture and support young artists across Memphis. Being surrounded by creativity every day, she’s constantly inspired by the next generation of Memphis talent.
